Diegetic sound - Sound that originates from the world the original recording is from.

Non-diegetic sound - Sound that does not originate from the world the original recording is from.

Sound motif - a sound effect or combination of sound effects that are associated with a particular character, location or setting.
Them tune - A song or melody that is heavily associated with someone or something.
Trope - Audio used to exaggerate or metaphorically present a character or location.
Jingle - A short slogan, tune or melody that is made to be easily remembered.
Brand identity - visible and identifiable elements of a brand, such as color, design, and logo.
Sound Bridge - A sound bridge is when an audio carries over from one scene to another.
Foley sound - Foley is the reproduction of sounds that are added to films and videos later on.
Incidental music - Music used in a film or play as a background to create or enhance a certain atmosphere.
Sting - An audio sting is a short musical phrase primarily used in broadcasting and films.
